Marianne Paiva earned her bachelor of arts and master of arts degrees from California State University, Chico, where she is currently an instructor in the Department of Sociology. She can often be found tending her vegetable garden or walking through one of the many wildlife areas and parks in her neighborhood. She lives in Northern California with her husband, three children, two cats, and a dog named Molly.
