Hood for the Sun by M. A. Pintard This book was written fifty years ago when homosexuality was still unacceptable, and sixty years after Oscar Wilde was imprisoned in Reading Gaol for his relationship with Lord Alfred Douglas. It also contains recollections of psychological trauma experienced by the author and other children of her generation, symbolized as torture. |
