About the author
Tom Anderson was born in 1959 in Torrance, California. He grew up in Butte County, California, about a mile from the Butte College site, and attended school in Durham. He played football for Butte College and the University of Santa Clara, and graduated from California State University, Chico, with a B.S. in finance, and a M.S. in physical education, and teaching credentials in mathematics, physical education, and business.
Tom teaches math and has coached varsity football and girls basketball at Las Plumas High School since 1991. He and his wife, Cheri, and their children live in Butte Creek Canyon in Chico, California.
