Paying
through PayPal
Your payment for The First-Year Resource is processed by PayPal.
When you click the Buy Now button on
the Ordering page you will be taken to
PayPal's secure Web site. There, you may pay for The First-Year Resource
by charging your credit card. Or, you may pay using your PayPal account.
If you don't have a
PayPal account you can set one up free on the PayPal page. PayPal accounts are
linked to the clients' bank accounts and/or credit or debit card from which payments are drawn. Your
PayPal account will also enable you to order from eBay and many other Internet
sites.

and security, PayPal is the chosen provider for facilitating Heidelberg
Graphics' online order payments.
What
happens after you pay?
The
First-Year Resource is an Internet book read from your computer. After your payment is processed and
your name and UNIV 101 number are verified, you will receive
by email from the university portal access to your book. It usually takes 48 business-day hours to assign a password for you to access your
book through the portal. The book can only be used by one student.
What
if you accidentally ordered incorrectly?
If
you ordered an extra copy of the book by mistake, immediately go to PayPal and
cancel your second order to avoid credit card fees. If you want to cancel your
order you must do so through PayPal within 24 hours or you will be subject to
service charges. Heidelberg Graphics is not responsible for any charges to your
PayPal account or credit card for canceling an order, mistakenly ordering more
than one copy, lacking funds in your bank account, or any other fee charged by
PayPal to your account or credit card.
Payment
by check or money order
If
you are unable to pay through PayPal with a credit card or PayPal account, you
may mail a check or money order for $26.00 to Heidelberg Graphics, 2 Stansbury
Ct., Chico, CA 95928. You may not pay Heidelberg Graphics in person. Its office is only open
by appointment. Along with your mailed payment you must include a note with your name, UNIV 101 section
number, phone number, and email address. Orders received by
mail may take longer to process. A receipt will be issued only if
you enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope.
What
if PayPal won't accept my debit card?
If
you're opening an account and PayPal won't accept your debit card, PayPal will
help you solve the problem. Phone their toll-free number 1-888-221-1161. You
will be greeted by an automated voice that will ask a few questions. Answer the
best you can or say "don't know" or some other response. When asked
what your problem is, say "Limitations Department." A friendly human
will answer and gladly help you.
What
if you received a receipt from PayPal but haven't received your access to First
Year Resource?
It
usually takes two business days for your order to be processed. Your name is
compared to the class rolls, and a secure access to the online book is made for
you and sent to your email. Email
