Author Rob Burton was born and raised in England. Since 1988, he has been professor of English at California State University, Chico. He is the author of Around the World in 52 Words: Ritual Writing for the New Millennium (2002), Artists of the Floating World: Contemporary Writers Between Cultures (2007), and London Spirits: Short Stories (2017). He researched Hops and Dreams: The Story of Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. for three years. His was the first book written about the company.
